Description

Beautiful Art Deco 18ct Gold Sapphire and Diamond Ring. Small and perfectly formed daisy ring consisting of excellent coloured velvety blue old cut sapphire 4mm x 3mm. The sapphires are surrounded by a halo of eight beautiful sparkly old cut diamonds measuring approx 2.5mm x 2.5mm of 5 points each total 0.40ct set into a milligrain platinum daisy setting. The total face of the Ring measures 11mm x 11mm. The diamonds vary in quality, they are all bright and sparkly but two diamonds have some visible inclusions. The daisy face is not perfectly symmetrical but this in my opinion adds to its Antique charm. Would make a wonderful classic engagement ring. Ring is in overall very good condition, the stones have no chips or scratches and the shank is strong. Shank is hallmarked for 18ct gold and Platinum and most certainly dates to the early art deco era. This ring is size UK L and US 5 1/2 Weight 2.7g

Photographs are ZOOMED with x5 magnification. SO Please Check Sizes And Weights before purchasing as JEWELLERY IMAGES ARE ENLARGED!! Dark areas are reflections on the gold.

Buy With Confidence: I try to accurately describe my items. I never knowingly mis-sell any item, so please read the description carefully. All items are checked by a professional Jeweller for authenticity; however no certificates are provided. If for any reason the item is found not to be genuine or as described a full refund will be given. So please buy with confidence.

Your jewellery will come in a modern gift box and not necessarily the one in the photograph.

Please also note that Antique and Vintage items will show some signs of wear commensurate with age.

Returns are accepted however buyer must pay return postage.

Finally - by purchasing a Used /Vintage/ Antique ring you are recycling a beautiful piece of jewellery and gemstone. In buying a ring which has been in circulation for this long is the most environmentally ethical way to purchase jewellery. Purchasing antique jewellery allows you to both support smaller local businesses and but encouraging the reuse of the vast amount of timeless jewels that are already in circulation and reduces the demand for further stripping of our planets resources.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery, prominent from the 1920s to the 1930s, is characterised by geometric symmetry, clean lines, stylised floral motifs, and high-contrast gemstone pairings like diamonds and sapphires.

Traditional construction typically involves a combination of 18-carat yellow or white gold, platinum settings to enhance diamond brilliance, and precious natural gemstones such as sapphires, rubies, and emeralds.

Authentic pieces often feature hand-cut stones such as old mine or single cuts, hand-carved millegrain detailing, specific metal hallmarks, and signs of age-appropriate oxidisation and wear.

Vintage gemstone rings can be styled as standalone statement pieces or paired with contemporary minimalist bands to create a textured, curated stack that highlights the historical craftsmanship.

Preservation requires professional ultrasonic cleaning only for compatible stones, avoiding harsh chemical dips, storing pieces in individual soft-lined compartments, and having settings inspected annually by a specialist.
