We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian silver objects, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, frequently feature lighter, more delicate designs inspired by eighteenth-century neoclassical and rococo motifs, including floral garlands, ribbons, and cherubs.

These items were typically fabricated from sterling silver using techniques such as stamping, repousse, and chasing to create raised decorative motifs, often lined internally with silk, velvet, or satin to protect delicate jewellery.

Authentic pieces bear official British hallmark stamps indicating the standard of silver (such as the lion passant for sterling), the assay office mark, and a date letter corresponding to the specific year of assaying.

Such small decorative objects provide metallic contrast and historic character when placed on a dressing table, bedside surface, or open shelf alongside modern minimalist decor.

Antique silver should be cleaned sparingly with a non-abrasive silver cloth to maintain the original patina, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can damage historic finishes and interior fabric linings.
