Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Nineteenth century French vanity items often feature intricate metalwork, hand-blown glass, and decorative motifs reflecting the artistic trends of the period, such as the Second Empire and Belle Epoque styles.

Traditional scent bottles frequently incorporate hand-blown or pressed glass, often cased or enamelled, paired with mounts and caps crafted from silver, silver gilt, or brass.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit period-appropriate hallmarks on the metal mounts, hand-finished glass characteristics such as pontil marks, and wear patterns consistent with age and use.

Such items can be displayed as small decorative accents on dressing tables, mantelpieces, or within glass cabinets to add texture, colour, and historical detail to a room.

Preservation involves keeping the object out of direct sunlight, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners on fragile glass or silver gilt, and maintaining a stable indoor humidity level.
