A gypsy ring is a style of finger ring featuring gemstones flush-set into a heavy metal band, which tapers towards the back, gaining popularity during the late 19th century.

These rings were commonly crafted from high-karat yellow gold, such as 18ct, and typically set with old-cut diamonds, rubies, sapphires, or pearls.

Authentic pieces often feature hand-hammered star settings, old-cut diamonds with distinctive irregular facets, and British hallmarks indicating the metal purity and assay office.

An antique ring can be worn alone as a statement piece or stacked alongside modern minimalist bands to create a textured, layered aesthetic.

Clean gently with warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoiding harsh chemicals, and store separately in a fabric-lined box to prevent scratching.
