This simple and elegant solid silver and mother of pearl letter opener is dated Sheffield 1912. The mother of pearl handle carved with the initials HS and mounted with a fully hallmarked ferrule and silver blade. It is a lovely example and combines elegance with practicality.

Hallmarks:

A&D for Allen & Darwin.

Sheffield Assay mark.

Lion passant.

Date letter "u" for 1912.

Dimensions:

Length:19.5cm /7.5 inches.

Condition:

Silver in very good condition.

mother of pearl handle in very good condition.
