Cornucopia-shaped scent bottles gained popularity during the Victorian period, often designed to be suspended from a chatelaine or carried in a pocket for holding perfume or smelling salts.

These items typically combine hand-cut lead crystal or glass bodies with silver mounts, caps, and occasionally hinged lids or chains manufactured from sterling silver.

Authenticity is usually confirmed by examining the quality of the hand-cut glass facets, the weight of the metal mounts, and checking for traditional silver hallmarks or makers marks.

These small decorative objects work well displayed on a vanity tray, dressing table surface, or within a glass-fronted cabinet alongside other small collectables.

Clean the glass with a soft damp cloth, and use a specialized silver polish carefully on the metal mounts, taking care to avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the delicate surfaces.
