Early 20th century jewellery transitions from the delicate, platinum-focused garland style of the Edwardian era to the geometric, streamlined symmetry of the 1920s Art Deco movement.

Goldsmiths frequently employed platinum, yellow gold, and white gold, setting them with natural rubies, old-cut diamonds, sapphires, and emeralds.

Authenticity is assessed through hallmarks, hand-cut gemstone facets such as old mine or single cuts, hand-carved metalwork, and natural inclusions visible under magnification.

Antique rings can be worn as standalone statement pieces or paired with contemporary minimalist bands to create a textured, curated aesthetic.

Store antique jewellery in soft fabric pouches away from other pieces, remove during physical labour, and clean gently with mild soapy water while avoiding harsh ultrasonic machines.
