Size: 11ft 0in x 4ft 11in (335 x 150cm).

Antique Caucasian Dagestan long rug with hooked medallion design.

Circa 1890.

A superb example of a Dagestan long rug, the central row of multi coloured hooked medallions are on a dark indigo blue field, these are surrounded by rows of tribal devices and shrub like designs. The inner and outer guards are of classic rosette design, the ivory main border is of the leaf and wine glass type with many amulets and small animals. A colourful Antique Caucasian rug ideal for furnishing.

The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile, the rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.
