An original, Charles II period, small dark oak coffer, dating from the late C17th. This coffer with panelled hinged top. Carved double panel front, each panel with carved lozenges. Panelled sides and back. Lock and working key. Raised on short through stiles. replacement but period lock. Original base.
A quality coffer, of small proportions, is in a charming and original condition. All the timbers are original with only a replacement lock and repaired original hinges. Cleaned and waxed and ready to use.

Good colour, polish and patina throughout. Some marks and blemishes, in keeping with its age and through use. All the timbers are original, including the base. On
...e front leg has a repaired split. An early period replacement lock. The original hinges have had small repairs. In good working order, very serviceable and ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
