Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
With particularly attractive shaped feet, a simple moulded edge at the front of the lid, chip carved edges at the sides. Featuring an iron lockplate and stamped with the initials RC (probably a previous owner) in several places in the outside. Some early repairs and restorations, otherwise very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
