Holmes Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
Having lunettes carved to the top rail, bold mouldings applied around the panels and drawer fronts, guilloche carved to the centre rail, fluted styles and shaped bottom rail. The top with thumb mould to the edge and shape and moulded batons to the underside. The interior is fitted with the large original candle box. The drawer linings are wonderfully clean like the rest of the piece and made in Oak with elm bottoms. This is an exceptionally honest piece of early English Oak Furniture.
