An exceptional trunk in good condition for age & use. Often called “Steamer Trunks” these fabulous quality fully zinc lined trunks were considered to be air & watertight consequently used for prestigious robes, military uniforms and treasured possessions. With two securing locks this trunk was ideal for travel & shipping. (Locks are working but with one replacement skeleton key).

The top has an impressed mark identifying the maker & patent number, made around the turn of the century, a practical and useful antique.
