E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The middle door slides left or right when the end doors are open. The base having a thumb moulded edge over 3 drawers with applied moulded decoration. The oaklined short drawers with round brass ring handles flanking the central secretaire drawer. This having a drop front revealing an interior of 2 banks of 3 oak line drawers with brass Bell shaped drop handles one fitted with inkwells. These flanking 4 pigeon holes with shaped arcaded tops over a long drawer over a void space. The 3 panelled doors below having the same sliding middle door opening to 2 adjustable shelves in 2 sections. All on plinth base.
