Small 17th century Panelled Cottage Size Oak Coffer

This is a lovely old piece, with a superb patina, the chest has three moulded panels on both the front and the top, it has a carved frieze along the front

Inside the Coffer has an open candle box with a blacksmith made L bracket repair around the top edge, the key and the lock are long gone there is evidence of where it must have been opened many years ago

This sweet cottage size coffer has developed a lovely rich warm colour and patina to the solid oak.

The coffer in antique condition with expected general signs of age and use.

Very solid sturdy and strong, it has old woodworm this has been treated

The coffer is 26” high, 36” long was 21” deep
