Malcolm Eglin Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
Clearly many woods have been used in the marquetry including satinwood, mahogany, sycamore, ebony etc. Some of the colours to the marquetry still remain.

All locks are present (no key available at the moment) and all original brass handles to drawers. It stands on bracket feet. One or two marks as would be expected of a chest over 200 years old, but this is a really good looker and excellent value for money.
