1780. It is of large proportions with lots of storage space with a moulded lid and deep interior. The front of this lovely period antique chest has four raised fielded panels along with three working drawers with decorative brass handles. It stands on raised feet, has panelled sides and comes with a key and working lock. The sides have quarter columns with decorative brass and the Oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
