Coffer Chest Rare 16th Century Oak French Renaissance C1550

Here we have a wonderful rare 16th century French Renaissance Oak coffer c1550. As you can see the coffer has great colour and patina. There is a thick plank lid with original pin and loop hinges. There are single large planks to the front ends rear and base. The front has wonderful linen fold carved panels typical of the period. The chest is constructed with large chunky dove tail joints and the base has a beautiful plinth and ribbed sledge feet. A super example in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 146 cm long 59 cm high 46 cm deep.
