Here we have a rare small 17th Century traditional Elm six plank coffer c1690. As you can see the coffer has fantastic colour and patina. Possibly a childs coffer the top has a single plank of delicious Elm with super grain and colour. The top has a reeded moulding to the front and back and a chip carved edge to the sides. There are further single planks to the base front back and ends hence the term six plank coffer. The original lock plate and lock are in place and the inside is covered in Victorian paper from c1870. A super small coffer in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 93 cm wide 33 cm deep 45 cm high.
