Clean silver gently with a soft microfibre cloth designed for jewellery care, avoiding harsh chemical dips that can dislodge or damage organic and mineral gemstones.

These accessories can be pinned to modern wool coats, heavy knit scarves, lapels, or structured blazers to add a touch of historic character to contemporary outfits.

Authentic pieces often feature characteristic hand-engraved silver work, traditional Celtic motifs like shields or thistles, bezel-set natural stones, and period-correct C-clasps or pin mechanisms on the reverse.

These pieces typically utilise sterling silver or white metal settings combined with native Scottish hardstones such as jasper, bloodstone, agate, and occasionally freshwater pearls.

Victorian Scottish pebble jewellery gained immense popularity during the mid-to-late 19th century, largely influenced by Queen Victorias affection for Balmoral Castle and the Scottish Highlands.
