Robert Belcher Antiques has dated this Victorian Silver Chalcedony Brooch to the 1860s.

The stone has beautiful, subtle graining. It is mounted at the bottom with a silver hand engraved double stem of leaves with two stems of single flowers set in amethyst, most likely representing forget-me-nots, which sends a Victorian love message to the receiver.

This fine piece of Victorian silver jewellery is most likely of Scottish origin and dates to circa 1860.
The hinged pin fastens securely, and there is no damage or repair.
