...this lovely example has no worm damage and is made using figured elm, the colour is that warm honey colour antique elm goes with age...also so nice to have the original iron hinges and two brass carrying handles....I have had a bottom put into the stool as it was made without, using period "aged" timber to make it into a very usable storage for magazines etc and also a useful drinks table....
