Hugo Berger for Goberg, German Arts and Crafts Chamber Stick - 1910

Description

This impressive and heavy industrial Iron Chamber stick was designed by Hugo Berger for Goberg around 1910 in West Germany.

The handsome, handmade chamber stick comprises of the central column with attached riveted handle, and a matchbox holder to the side. It is decorated with beaten patterns to the base and column, and has 'GOBERG' impressed into the base. It stands 19.5cm high and 14cm wide across the base and is very much in keeping with the arts and crafts movement and design.

The chamber stick is untouched - cleaned but not polished so that the buyer may decide how they prefer it, and is currently displayed with its 'used' patina.
