1910-1930 Adjustable Angle Brass Desk Lamp

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1910-1930 - a particularly fine quality desk lamp with an adjustable, bendy arm and the original iron base. It weighs 2.4kgs.

As shown in the main photograph, it measures 45cm in height, straightened up it is 65cm; the base is 15cm in diameter.

The lamp has a straight lower column to ensure stability with the flexible links at the top enabling the light to be moved to any angle.

It was recently rewired by the previous owner and some of our original period glass shades shown here may still be available at cost price should the buyer decide to use one with this lamp.

This adjustable desk lamp dates from the Edwardian to Art Deco period between 1910 and 1930. The piece is formed from brass with a gold colour and a polished finish. Visible details include a heavy stepped circular base, a straight lower column with decorative mouldings, a flexible gooseneck arm, and an exposed brass bulb socket attached to the end of the flexible section. A dark power cord emerges near the collar of the circular base.
