Antique Early Georgian Country Peg Joined Oak Coffer Chest Box C1700 Wdb4628c/13.9

Description

Lovely antique george 1st country oak coffer and dating form aorund 1780. It has a plank top with moulded edge and brass lock escutcheon above three fielded panels with panelled sides and original rough hewn panelled back with stile feet. It has iron hinges and is hand and peg joined. Yorkshire/lake district.

It is in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and aged patination to the oak oozing the charm and character of the country oak period.

Measures: 24" high X 19" deep X 44" wide
