A superb antique 18ct gold diamond buckle ring dating from 1914. A great example of a traditional design of ring featuring 2 diamonds chips in star settings. Buckle rings have been popular since the early 1800s and made quite fashionable when Queen Victoria took to wearing one. They can be a token of love between the giver and wearer and represent the Order of the Garter whose symbol includes their moto embossed on a buckled belt. A part of our antique gold ring collection.

The metal work is in fantastic order with hardly a sign of any wear and the diamond chips are housed safely in their settings. The hallmark is very clear with no wear to it at all. This ring has obviously been well... cared for and not worn as an everyday piece of jewellery.
