Antique Camphor Wood Military Trunk

19th century
Description

A lovely antique camphor wood trunk, most likely a military piece, with brass corner pieces, brass strapping and brass carrying handles. It is very well made from solid camphor and has a lovely colour and patina.

It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. A couple of brass pieces are missing (see photos) and there are some signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks here and there but nothing detrimental. The box is clean and tidy inside, it has been cleaned and lightly polished and it displays beautifully.
