Description

Here we have a wonderful traditional George I Elm six plank coffer c1720. The chest has breathtaking colour and patina. There is a single plank top of lovely Elm. There are further single planks to the sides, end and base. The front plank has been carefully chosen from the heart wood for its superior grain. There are decorative spandrels to the front and the original iron lock. The chest has retained really good height with arched legs cut from the single end planks. Internally there are the original hand forged hinges. A super example in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 102 cm wide 66 cm high 35 cm deep.
