Here we have a fabulous and rare Welsh sailmaker''s chest with a hand painted featuring the schooner John Llewelyn, dating to around 1905-1910 and belonging to a Richard Tudor, sailmaker, Pwllheli, Nefyn, Port Madoc and Barmouth to the lid and Tampico, Monte Video, Boston, New York, Fowey and Southampton to the front, there are iron carry handles to the sides and hand painted rope decoration throughout.
Inside is painted and partially lined with old maritime newspapers dating to 1856, there is also some ephemera detailing the history of the schooner.
