Here we have a stunning Italian Walnut Cassone c1780. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. There is s single plank of solid Walnut to the top with beautiful incised decoration and a gadrooned edge. There are wonderfully carved roundels to the front surround and stunning carved fielded panels. There is a deep gadrooned cushion moulding to the base and wonderful lion paw feet to the front corners. The sides are beautifully paneled and have the original Iron handles. Internally there are original hand forged strap hinges. A superb example of a chest of this type in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 155 cm wide 47 cm deep 76 cm high.
