A super quality Victorian English solid sterling silver fruit knife. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1844 with the maker’s marks being WB possibly William Briggs. It has been superbly made having a Mother of Pearl casing with inlaid plaque engraved JB (another Briggs family member perhaps). It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, slight wear. It measures approx. 6.25 inches (16cms) long and weighs 26 grams. A very interesting piece.
