Description

A fine quality William IV (circa 1835) mahogany ottoman with deep buttoned leather top.

This ottoman consists of a deep buttoned brown leather top finished with brass studs, the top opening to reveal a good storage area, lined with a blue fabric.

This leading down to a moulded edge with two finely figured mahogany faux doors with recessed panels and brass moulding with central brass bead and fine quality brass knob handles.

The shaped armrests to either side of finely figured veneered mahogany with carved scallop shell design and carved decoration with fine quality brass carrying handles to the sides, all supported on a chamfered plinth base.

This is a very versatile item, it could be used as an ottoman, window seat or stool at the end of a bed, in a hall etc.

This ottoman is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
