Early 20th Century Oriental Carved Teak and Camphor Wood Chest

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb oval shaped Oriental freestanding teak chest profusely and finely carved with trees, pagodas, boat, people and bridges within a beautifully carved cherry blossom border on kang table style scrolling base. The chest retains its original decoratively embossed brass back plate and latch and comes with a lock and key. The interior of the chest is lined in camphor wood which has a lovely aroma.
