Antique James 11 Carved & Joined Oak Coffer Chest C1680 Wdb4931/7.7 Yorkshire/lakes Origin

Description

Lovely antique james 11 carved oak joined coffer chest and dating from aorund the time of the restoration period about 1680. It has a plank top above a profusely hand carved front with lunette frieze above and below three carved lozenge panels and carved stiles. It has panelled sides and original panelled back with plank bottom going from front to back and with iron hinges. Inside there is a candle tray and it is hand joined.

A lovely antique james 11 carved oak coffer with a good deep colour and patination to the oak and oozes charm and character of the restoration period.

North yorkshire/lakelands origin

Measures: 25" high X 21" deep X 48" wide
