Antique James 11 Country Oak Coffer Chest C1680 Wdb180/22.6

Description

Antique james 11 country oak coffer and dating form aorund the time of the restoration period about 1680. It has four panels to the top above a carved frieze and three arched panels all separated by half turned finials. The centre panel having the carved intials of t & s. It has panelled sides and back and stands on stile feet and is hand & peg joined.

In very good condition (there are a couple of grain lines to the top but this is usual for a chest of this age and adds to the character and charm). It has a lovely deep nut brown colour and patination to the oak and we are sure that whoever buys this lovely chest will be very pleased with their purchase.

Measures: 25" high X 22" deep X 50" wide
