Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Ersari carpets are traditional hand-knotted textiles created by the Ersari Turkmen tribe, prominent in Northern Afghanistan and Central Asia. They are recognised by their deep red ground hues and repeating octagonal tribal motifs known as guls.

These rugs are hand-knotted using hand-spun sheep wool for both the pile and the warp or weft foundation. Dyes derived from natural plant and mineral sources are historically used to produce rich red, navy, and brown tones.

Authentic period pieces feature hand-knotted wool foundations with subtle weave irregularities, natural colour variations known as abrash, and clear geometric gul patterns rather than modern synthetic backings.

A large red tribal carpet anchors neutral minimalist spaces, providing warmth and historic texture. It pairs effectively with dark timber furniture, leather upholstery, or contemporary metal accents.

Vacuum regularly without a rotating brush bar to protect the wool pile, and rotate the carpet periodically to ensure even wear. Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean cloth and lukewarm water.
