Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Ersari carpets are traditional hand-knotted textiles created by the Ersari sub-tribe of the Turkmen people across Central Asia and northern Afghanistan. These woven floor coverings are recognised for their repeating octagonal gul motifs and deep crimson or madder-dyed colour palette.

These rugs are hand-knotted using hand-spun sheeps wool for both the pile and the foundation, secured with asymmetric knots. The rich shades of red and navy are traditionally derived from natural plant and mineral dyes such as madder root and indigo.

Authentic pieces feature hand-spun wool showing natural abrash, which refers to subtle dye variations throughout the field, alongside geometric octagonal gul designs arranged in repeating grid structures. The reverse side reveals irregularities in knot structure typical of traditional hand-loom weaving.

A large red tribal carpet grounds a interior space by introducing visual warmth, contrast, and geometric structure. It pairs effectively with modern minimalist furniture, dark mahogany cabinetry, or aged leather upholstery to create an eclectic aesthetic.

Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting without a rotating beater bar to protect the wool pile and fringe edges. Position a quality underlay underneath to prevent slipping and wear, and rotate the carpet periodically to ensure even light exposure.
