Small Early 17th Century Oak Coffer

An early 17th Century Oak Coffer of good rich warm colour in wonderful original condition, retaining the original strap hinges. The top rail carved with gadrooning , the styles fluted and reeded, the panels inlaid with checkered banding forming a geometric patten. It Is nice to see the original scroll carved brackets to the base.
