17th Century Oak Coffer

A wonderful Charles II oak coffer of fabulous colour especially the top. In really good clean original condition. The hinges are original, the handles replaced through the same holes as the original. The carved front is a particularly fine example, featuring tulips and poppies, the deep mouldings around the panels help to give the piece depth.
 
The top rail is initialed I H with the original brass studs and escutcheon.
