A rare Charles II oak coffer, possibly Welsh, with exceptional carving. The top rail and drawer with entwined leaves and the two panels carved with dragons. nice carving down the stiles and in wonderful original condition throughout, we believe the coffer may be from the Welsh Borders and it has similar leaf carving to a side table we purchased many years ago from the same area. Welsh Circa 1680.
