Early 18th Century Carved Oak Coffer

Description

Very nice early to mid 18th century carved oak coffer of great size. Three panelled top with moulded stiles, two panel front with original carving. The panels have a diamond pattern carving with a scratch carved arcade pattern to the top. The coffer has its original iron pin hinges and iron escution plate to the front. There is no lock and only half the original clasp. The coffer has its original candle box inside. Still retains its high legs. The coffer is a lovely colour with original patination and waxed finish. Really nice, pleasing example.
