It has a moulded panelled top with pin hinges that sit above a beautifully carved panelled front and brass key escutcheon. The sides and back are panelled and the piece as a whole stands on raised feet. This stunning antique coffer shows signs of character which adds to the charm of this antique piece. The oak has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
