Description

A military camphor wood campaign trunk. Great colour, good patina and a medium size ideal as a coffee table, bedside or end of sofa. Brass corner cappings and straps. Flush lid pull and flush brass military style side carrying handles .Original brass hinges, brass lock and escutcheon. Some transit damage (photos show the condition well) generally in very good order and retaining its original porcelain castors .Usual pleasant camphor odour when opening the lid (camphor wood was the preferred timber for these trunks as it deterred moths from damaging clothing and uniforms).
