Here we have for sale today this wonderful early oak coffer or blanket box/chest A good early one dating Charles 1st from around the 1650,s and all made in solid oak. Standing on post feet with this three paneled front and paneled sides, all in this joint and peg construction, a full lid with a moulded front edge. All in original condition, its not been altered, with the initials DI inlaid into the lid. Having its original polish plus patina its a wonderful rich oak colour with this wax polish finish (please see pictures) This Coffer is solid in all its joints, with NO woodworm.
