Description

This is a fabulous Italian dome top chest with a great decorative look dating from the late 17th century, circa 1690. The chest has an unusual angled design to the lid which has its original clasp to the locking plate. The large cast handles to the sides are a great design with Baccanalian masks projecting the cast drops and the chest has the remnants of its original Paduan (Italian) pretty rose coloured velvet upholstery and studded decoration.

A most decorative piece with such character.
