Early 20th Century Oriental Camphor Wood and Teak Carved Chest

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb oval shaped Oriental freestanding teak chest profusely and deeply carved with scenes of trees, flowers, mountains, people and pagodas within a floral border with kang table style base on scrolling legs. The chest retains its original decoratively embossed brass back plate and latch and comes with a lock and key. The interior of the chest has its original tray and is lined in camphor wood which has a lovely aroma.
