A charming late 17th century profusely carved oak mule chest.
c1680-1700.
The three plank moulded edge top is over a lunette carved top rail, with a three paneled front, carved with tulip and daisy flower motifs, surrounded by foliate designs, flanked by tulip carved muntins and stiles.

Lunette carved drawer to the base, with attractive and ornate brass drop handles.
The top opens to reveal two candle boxes, one added at a later date.
In excellent antique condition. With expected general signs of age and use.

Having developed a wonderful rich colour and glowing patina.
