Honest Antique 17th Century English Period Oak Coffer

This is a fabulous example of a transitional period antque oak coffer that dates from around 1670. Made when coffer designs were moving on from an early, primitive six plank box to a more sophisticated panel front. In superb condition throughout and a wonderful original colour. This early period oak coffer features plank ends with cut out shaped feet, a plank top with a moulded edge and original carving to the top rail with channel moulded panels. A lovely sized English 17th century antique period oak coffer that is in amazing condition.
