Early Georgian Oak Panelled Coffer

18th century
Description

Neat size early Georgian oak panelled coffer or kist. Three panels to the front and three panels to the top with single panelled ends. Original brass escution to the front with original steel lock. The nice feature with this particular coffer is it still has its original tall legs, many of these coffers have had there stiles (legs) reduced. The coffer is clean inside with original candle box to the right hand side. The coffer has old replacement steel hinges. The coffer is a nice colour with good patination and waxed finish.
