The dimensions of this attractive mahogany chest should enable its owner to place it in many locations throughout their home, and use it in various ways. Apart from its practical size, this chest appealed to me because of its colour, and that the original cabinet maker decided to enhance the chest with wonderfully figured front and side panels. Whilst being professionally restored to high standard we decided to enhance it further by lining it out in a William Morris fabric from a similar period. For safety and ease of use an antique stay has been fitted. The inset handles to the sides are original, and a key is supplied that fits and works the chest's lock.
