Early 20th Century Oriental Camphor Wood Carved Chest

Description

An extremely good quality early 20th Century Oriental freestanding camphor wood chest profusely and deeply carved with scenes of the eight immortals, dragons, birds, pagodas and trees. The sides and back are carved with mountain scenes within a floral border. The chest stands on stepped bracket feet and retains its original decoratively engraved brass back plate and latch and comes with a lock and key. The interior of the chest has a lovely camphor wood aroma.
